The archery section has been rather cold this time around just like the winter this year. Why not stir things up a bit, but this time it will take more just a few keystrokes to do so.
I propose we have an Archery Trick Shot Challenge.
The idea is for members to come up with their own versions of Archery Trick Shots and make a small video and upload it on youtube and post it here. Of course a small description of what you plan to do in the shot will help things along.
Let it be free for all types of Bows (Bare Bow, Recurce Bow, Compound Bow, Cross Bow....). We just have to keep in mind that a shot performed on a Stick Bow is much more complex than say the same shot performed on a Cross Bow with a telescope.
So archers please throw your hats in the ring.
Regards,

Bowman can blowguns be used ? After all using lung power to drive a dart is not easy. But I need a week at least to come up with something...

I suppose you could perform some feat and have others try and match you?

Alright. Today me and my Olympic Archery Coach went out to shoot something Bare Bow (No Sight) for Mack. The target is a red tennis ball at a distance of 10 paces/12 yards.
Mack I hope you are watching

What if the dog had leaped up when you let fly? It nearly did!!
Nice shorts... sorry shot.

Nicely done, Bowman! The distance isn't important.
What did you learn from this?
Now try extinguishing the candle in the dark. That way you wont be able to take any aiming references which essentially equate to having a sight on the bow.

Good shot, Bowman!
Not to harp on it, but I wish you had the dog tied behind you. Nice Lab.
Best-
Vikram

Thanks for watching Mack and Vikram. I'd love to see your videos too.
Sometimes tie down my Coach and sometimes she just listens to me a behaves herself. But you know she is not leaping as high as it seems because from that angle the camera is looking down on us.

Due to space constraints a video will be difficult until I can get outdoors with the bow.
I would like to know whether you shot instinctively, used a feature on the bow as a reference mark or used the tip of the arrow and a known gap.
If it was done 'instinctively', what impressions / conclusions did you come away with?
