No technique there Skeetshot. This was shown on NGC or Discovery I think in the program Superhumans. These are one in a billion unique individuals. I'm sure this feat will be impossible for any one else to replicate. It's an impossibly rare combination of gifted genetics and training.

Ive seen the stan lees superheroes on youtube a few times. I still am not sure if his eyes were open at the time of the strike.
Re: the "finest" steel I would like to remind everybody that the folding technique for katanas was developed as the steel quality in japan was not good. Yes its true. the katanas were made of leser quality steel. Hence the laborious task to remove impurities. Indian steel was always better quality. Today the metallurgy is so advaned that one doesnt need to have such labour intensive process and contrary to what people believe, one can get good quality blades for much lesser price than that of a katana.

The car spring for instance is made from really great quality steel and used extensively for country weapons. However this doesnt mean the steel is of a lesser quality. We see all the cutting and chopping in the videos and are impressed by the swords never for once imagining the amount of practice it takes to ahieve mastery with a weapon. Most kendo masers are in their seventies, having 60 years of practice!

Hi Shooter, could you please point out the source of information (webpage link) or reading material on the quality of steel. Been reading on the subject lately and was curious.

Thanks
Moin.

Sir; Thank you. Nice link, the images in the website are from the documentary I told you about. I am referrring to the information on the use of inferior quality steel in Japanese Sword making that lead to the elaborate forging process.

Hi friends,
did anyone considered the shooter. Infact if you once again see the video, the person using the sword is just drawing the sword and the BB is right on his sword, he is not making any efforts to find the BB.

And if I am not wrong, the shooter is from his team. So guys it can be done with practise.
Same drawing of sword and shooter aiming to shoot the sword.

Isn't it same to skeet and trap but will need lots and lots of practise.

Think about it.

Anyways, it was on a TV programe, they are more interested in entertainment rather than facts.

Regards.

Dear moin,
Please note i am not saying katanas are inferior. I am saying the multiple folding technique was developed to remove impurities.
Please google katana steel, see wikipedia. also google wootz.
As faras the metallurgy techniques getting better in the last 600 years and that it is easier getting superior quality metals, I cant provide info about that but i can only presume it to be true.

32 owner, Isao is a legend in the world of katana weilding. see his other videos. this particular video is from a series on nat geo/discovery(cant remember which) not a hoax.

Isao also slices immideately after unsheathing his sword in one fluid motion.
I believe vikram has posted another video elsewhere.

Dear Shooter;

Google, yes Thanks, could find only on one website with this info. Folding of billets though is not unique to Japanese Forging so was curious. I'll look up further information on this.

:agree:

only32owner images trying to slice a pea sized object flying at what 150-200fps (assuming for air soft guns) in one motion while drawing a sword. But like I said these are one in a billion unique individuals.

I an not questioning the ability of MR. Isao nor about his exellence in handling the sword.
But what I obsevred is a BB hitting a sword not a sword hitting a BB. Mr. Isao just draw the sword.
I just want to say that the person from his team who fires BB , looks likes a good marksman.

And its a result of good co ordination between a marksman and a swordman and lots of practise.

Regards.

Hi Moin,
that surely would be difficult for me but soon I can show you someone hitting a thin string with bullet or a pellet :D
