I've been collecting flashlights for couple of years now , There are not many options if you want a thrower with Side switch.

I own different models of Britelite & been using them for 4 years nearly. They are good throwers, but heavy

Above challenge LED is for 3500/- INR at a dealer i buy from, Shops here sell it for around 5000/- INR.
Good thrower & i'am using this for last 3 years. 2000 mtr range as per company (Sure our eyes cannot see beyond 400 mtrs)

This model is new to market & cost around 4000/- i remember. same specifications as above Challenge LED.

There are other lesser range models, you can checkout at above website.

I recommend you to try out solarforce & Fenix flashlights over britelight, these are good quality international flashlights (That is if your preferring tail switches)

From my experience I can vouch for Britelight. I bought my first four years ago from Aim point pune for approx. Rs 1800/-. it is still giving me excellent performance, I have not changed the battery, its going very strong after hundred of recharges. After getting excellent service from aimpoint , i recently went in for the biggest one costing Rs 4800/-. An extremely powerfull torch, which can illuminate objects at 1000m. The smaller one can do the job upto 100m reasonably well.

Fenix rc is really great but quite costly to me . But I think tk 41 u2 would a better choice at that range .

Britelight Challenge LED model has a range of 2000 mts (2 km) as company rated.
I dont know whether it throws that far, but having used it for 3 yrs it can throw pretty far.
Challenge LED has pretty good wide beam and can be adjusted slightly by turning the Reflector cap.

According to your requirement, I see that's the same requirement i'am having before getting into flashlight collection and Britelight Challenge LED model served well to fulfill that requirement.

I have a 3D cell maglight that has the maglight brand 3 watt bulb that illuminates items at a comfortable 180 yards. It does not have rechargeable batteries but I am not kidding, it gets used virtually every night and the batteries last me over a year. I have had an issue with batteries leaking in it when left for over a year, the light still works fine but when you take the batteries out they have leaked all over the place so I change them every November and do not have any issues that way. I showed it to a couple of people at the IFG meet here last month so maybe someone might speak about it.

Anyway, it is quite durable and economical and would be my suggestion for a light with a long beam if you can order one in India.
