Bug out Bag(New)

A bug-out bag[1][2] is a portable kit that contains the items one would require to survive for seventy-two hours[3][4] when evacuating from a disaster. It is also known as a 72-hour kit,[5] a grab bag,[6] a battle box, and other popular names include "Personal Emergency Relocation Kits" (PERKs) GO Bag and GOOD (Get Out Of Dodge)[7] bag. The focus is on evacuation, rather than long-term survival, distinguishing the bug-out bag from a survival kit, a boating or aviation emergency kit, or a fixed-site disaster supplies kit. The kits are also popular in the survivalism subculture.[8]
The term "bug-out bag" is related to, and possibly derived from, the "bail-out bag" emergency kit many military aviators carry. The concept passed into wide usage among other military and law enforcement personnel, though the "bail-out bag" is as likely to include emergency gear for going into an emergency situation as for escaping an emergency.[9]
How many of you actually have a bug out bag???

Sorry guys i was busy with my exams couldn't reply
i'm so happy i never expected to get such huge response Thanks
I read as many posts as possible
I just see ppl telling i have this i have that i have BOB for more than a week to survive some ppl telling that they have secret hideout and a secret path mapped out for hideout all sort of stuff.
But how many of you actually thought of the capacity of your body you may have BOB prepard to go out for war with food, arms, ammunitions, tents, gas masks, axe, hammer, knife, machete all sort of stuff. But are you physically capable of carrying 25-30kg load around. I regularly jog for 5 Kms everyday just running with nothing on me i feel exhausted my BOB is 10kgs I've tried to run with it i can cover a maximum of 2kms then i get winded i need another 10min to regain my strength. With a mere load of 10 kgs i find it difficult in case of any natural disaster or war scenarios how will you be able to carry all those stuff if your transport breaks down you may have to run, climb walls and stairs you will be in such a state of mind you just drop extra load and run for cover in that extra load you may have the most critical items for survival.
So i say plan every move keep multipurpose tools carry enough food for 72hrs and hunting gear they are enough to provide food for months a hammock is better and more safe than a tent basic knowledge about reading maps and compass is better than carrying expensive GPS
"Keep it simple "
I also read about firearms all kinds from assault rifles to sub-machine guns to pistols and shotguns well firearms are essential tools but all the advanced kind of arms you carry once run out of ammo is useless you need to select a weapon which is not only light and multipurpose but also the most widely used cuz when you run out of ammo you can find it every where from depots to deserted vehicles both public and military .
I prefer
Ak series in the eastern hemisphere
M16's and AR15's in the norther hemisphere
Well in India since firearms are banned i prefer machete in case if you find any .303 never use it most of the ammo are expired(True fact: Mumbai 26/11) and worst case scenario it may blow up in your face .
Every one has their own specs for a BOB how much every you try there will be some situations you would have not prepared for .
My idea of BOB is simple put yourself in that situation just imagine you are in a cave in the tropics what do u need First rule of BOB u need water and from a clean source if not clean you need a filter of some kind a simple piece of cloth , few fragments of charcoal a straw(any hollow plant) thats all for a filter you dont have to put a expensive filter a water purifier in your bag all these thing are all around you . Some food carrying food for 72hrs ok you need more just carry some twine thread you can lay hundreds of trap with it if you have some kind of elastic tube you can make a spearfishing gun you dont have to carry a hunting gear just like that think put yourself in that situation and design the bag based on it.
Having Expensive BOB does not mean you can survive all situations. We are all equipped with BOB's guessing where it is it is in that small piece of meat in your skull called "BRAIN". Just develop it read true real life stories of disaster survivors learn few trick about setting traps just access that library we all have .
