picked up this blade from a village weekly market in jharkhand. the blade is about 12" long. can someone identify the knife and post a picture of a complete knife. though it looks similar to a kukri, i think it is not. it even has a 4" swedge .

Given the proximity to the rigion must be a tribal/adviasi version with the notch at the base of the blade missing. The Khukri itself is thought to be a descendant of the Greek Kopis and Machaira with the forward recurve blade, remanant of Alexanders invasion of northwest india in 326 BC.

The Locals call it a BHUJAALI, tell me if they never mentioned this name.
A knife makes me feel stronger, keeps my temper down and gives me the courage to fight for the right. If I am wrong, don't correct me...

Thanks much discovershashank, is this is sickle/utility knife of sorts specific to Jharkhand. Unlike any other seen before.

Thanks
