Which fire starter kit is used in this footage, and what about its availibility in india?

It is just a fire steel. It is available in many variants. The most common being what you see here and the best known being the Swedish fire steel.
Look it up on Ebay.in, it is available. Search for "fire starter".

try flint, or better still buy a gas lighter and save the hard work

The old time gas lighters which used flints were the best! The new electronic ones do not give a hot enough spark to light anything except LPG or petrol. Else you can use a windproof cigarette lighter (made in China - Rs. 15-20, Zippo Rs. 1500 and above). The Swedish fire steel with knife on e-bay is about 3K. They are available on the Indian site as well (ebay.in). oliveplanet.com has some thing similar. Depending on your area, you might be able to purchase "chakmak patthar" (flints) from the local market.

Keychain store? I think lighter is a better idea that swedish kit is around 1.4 K and its life is only 12000 strikes. I would prefer to spend that money on something that is reusable
The original Swedish Fire Steel on ebay.in comes for Rs. 699 for the Mini Model and Rs. 999 for the Scout Model. The Mini model allows approx 1500 strikes and the scout holds for 3000 strikes.
One of these that I own from the same manufacturer is the Army model and lasts for about 12000 strikes as per the specs. It costs around Rs 1500 on ebay.in.
First you should start using the Mini model and see if you find it suitable and then proceed for the larger models.
Other companies offer fancier models like the Blastmatch or the Strikeforce (many more) which work on the same principles more or less but are more expensive.
The pros are that it is fool proof and lasts for a long time, Works even when wet. The cons are that it takes practice to start a fire, it is not as simple as it looks. The best way is to carry some cotton soaked in vaseline or gasoline etc in an empty plastic film roll container, as it is waterproof, and just use a small quantity to light a fire. This works fast. Else fancier stuff like Maya dust or wetfire tinder is available.
Of course lighters are much easier but for camping etc use a waterproof lighter like the Windmill butane lighters built for the outdoors for wet and windy conditions etc.. Normal lighters do not work in wet conditions.
