I am afraid, the time it would take to draw the knife out, would be disastrous in a situation....

Ofcourse, there is a 'feel good' factor that you are carrying a good knife with you...

Nice idea anyways....

My 2 pc worth... !

NIce ET... loved it.. I will also do the same because i too have the same knife... But i have a query.. I understand the upper belt you must have sticthed to the strap attached to the knife, but how and where did you fix the lower one?? Moreover, have you tried moving around with the knife?? Is it comfortable??

Regards
Prasanjit.

It's a good idea. I appreciate... as they say 'Need is the mother of invention'

What is the length of blade? Is it legal to EDC such a knife in your city? Remember, if you, somehow, get into any kind of trouble - God forbid, (it can be a small & simple road accident ANYDAY, ANYTIME) in which cops get involved and they find this knife on you - believe me, you will have a very hard time explaining the 'motive' behind EDC.

If you have an explanation, kindly let me know!!!

take care...

Why do you need to EDC such a large thing, pray, unless you are close to wildlife? Concerns raised by SSMICKEY are perfectly valid.

Prasanjit, allowed EDC length in Mumbai is about 2.5 inches or so. Don't try it!

Hi Esdee; Is this a confirmed rule EDC length 2.5 inches ?

Nonetheless no need to EDC a large fixed blade especially with the sensitivity of the times we are in !!

Prasanjit, remember even "Rambo" an ex special forces soldier got in trouble carrying a large fixed blade in First Blood....!!!! hehehe

as Olly rightly noted, you may not be able to deploy the knife from such carry, because it will take so much time to lift the pants. both your hands will be busy getting knife out, not an optimal.

there is kabar ankle rig which one of best ankle carry for TDI knife

http://www.tomarskabars.com/TDI_LAW_ENFORCEMENT_3.html

knife positioned low and easy can be deployed

another option for such knife to carry it behind belt fixed diagonally on your back, no problem for driving car or bike. good concealment behind long T shirt. for such carry you need fix loop of sheath on your belt so knife will be to body and back side of sheath looking out and then swing knife inside pants behind belt. position it diagonally. other wise buy knife with sheath which has option for horizontal carry.

Moin, that's what guys at the knife shops tell you, and I think it was discussed sometime in the forum.

Anyway, my Nieto has a strap which buttons around the handle. I think it can be carried upside down, so easier to pull out from a inside-trousers rig - don't have to pull up the pants, if you can lift your leg enough to get your hand on the handle and undo the button on the said strap.

Hi Guys,
