The Shane Silbert MPR that now Benchmade is producing as the 755 is a great occasional use knife. It is a strong and robust knife and this itself is its forte. Each and every knife does not have to be suitable as an EDC thing or only intended to be carried on person or classify as slick urban type folder that is a bit more socially acceptable..

The Sebenza is no doubt a good knife as well but I can find nothing wrong with the Silbert.

The Striders are a bit expensive but are really well designed. You can find some really good knives here.

Ok, here is an article which explains what ballistic knives are.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ballistic_knife

I would not call it the knife which is the most in demand in the world.

it has one serious disadvantage once fired it is gone. also knife in military mostly a close combat weapon and utility tool, I read recently as one soldier in Iraq use his Cold Steel Recon Tanto to cut steel doors while searching houses.

if you need distance, hand gun is always better, hand guns with sub sonic amo very silent also.
