Marksman: I am glad that I could be of help. Very happy to know that you were able to fix your Sykes Fairbairn.

Mundaire: Thanks. Even I did not know for sure until I got into all the minute details but the important thing is that we all really wanted to help marksman fix his knife.

Subal: There is no doubt that this is a collectors knife. One really cannot compare, nor should we try to compare, the Sykes Fairbairn produced in the first half of the last century to the machine produced precision instruments made using engineered metals and alloys. It is the old world charm, handmade process and as Rakshit has put it maybe its the nostalgia not to mention the Legend that goes with it.
However, I am also sure that if it were to be put to work now it would do its share quite well.

During WW2 Americans got some training from British commandos, they were so impressed with F-S so even made their own version called "case V-42"
