Post by sandy_3126 » Sat Oct 11, 2014 10:54 am

Hello All Knive and Blade Experts,

I am looking to get some knives for my dad from US when i visit back home in couple of months in check in baggage. Can some of the members please provide some advice on max blade lengths for fixed blade and folding knives to keep clear of any trouble at the airport.

Thanks in Advance....

A friend of mine got a few 15 to 18 inch daggers from Europe. Nothing asked at the customs as such. You may want to carry a purchase bill along with the merchandise...there are restriction on anything which is bigger than 9 inches and wider than 2 inch's with a sharp blade on one side. Ultimately they judge the individual by his appearance
