As i was not satisfied with the performance of first knife (blade material was not good) i decided to make another one from an old unused rusty knife which was made out of spring steel. i started the work by softening it to work with hand tools, then i cut it with hacksaw and then using files i shaped it to desired design. (in the beginning the metal was not soft enough and one file got damaged,its was a cheap Chinese file and i got material for my third knife

, so i again soften it) after filing i sanded the surface with 80 grit sandpaper to removed irregularities in surface and made the handle with teak wood.

after this i decided to copy a swamp rat knife and i bought an angle grinder to make my works more easy . it saved lot of time in my work on fourth knife with spring steel
