Hey Nagarifle
Great country side!, As Vikram said, could you enlarge the photographs. By the way, is it possible to come over for a holiday/trek without our scalps being lifted? (No offence or disrespect meant, just trying to preserve my skin). How about an IFG meet/ trek in your backyard? I have a friend in the Nagaland University at Kohima, who can also help us out.
Best Regards

hi all
have made the pics large as requested.
Mituans are majestic like animals. easy to confuse with Buffalo. but a good look at the head/horns one will notice the different.
Buffalo horns are flats/wrinkle like.
Mituans have round smooth horns. In Naga society its a great honor to kill a Mituan and to share it with the village people as mituans cost around 40k. when one gives a mituan head to someone, it is also a great sign of honor. here i would boast that i have seen more mituan then your average Naga have.

you are more then welcome to come to Nagaland, best time is winter time. one needs a Inner line Permit from the Nagaland house.

i am sure we can find some locum for you. in a Private hospital. i do some medical camps from time to time. last for few days but takes longer to get to the villages. that's the fun part.

Dear Nagarifle
Enlarged pictures really do justice to your part of the country, the only time I have been in NE is in 2000 for the Manipur National Games.Fell in live with the country and people! I will definitely visit Nagaland maybe next winter. Hopefully , I can organize a get together of intrepid IFGians.
Best Regards
