hi want to buy a fishing rod

hi i am new to angling and want to buy a fishing rod all u experienced guys out there please help to suggest what type should i buy and the specifications i will be probably fishing in a river for brown trout and mahseer or carp . help needed regarding type of rod , baits , which reel much obliged
