Deer hunting

Hunting with a camera is one of the most exciting way to ‘shoot deer’. I was fully armed and ready for the occasion, ok before you all say “isn’t hunting banned” well yes in India, its banned, but in raining south England its not.
UK as whole has six spices of deer, Fallows, Sika, Roe, Red, Chinese water deer and mutjack.
On this occasion I was after the Fallow
After a short drive, a short walk and finding some bushes to squat behind ready with the camera, not long after a herd of Fallow deer(Dama Dama) appeared, close by.
The old trick of salt lick on the ground would have payed of if I had any but bananas were just as good for this occasion.
Some of the features one sees on the Fallow are as follows:
Long face and broad muzzle
Bucks have a well defined Adam’s Apple.
Have two tone shading line on the flanks.
White spots in most not all.
One of the best give a ways is the upside down black MacDonald M sign on the rump. (shoe mark)
Bucks' Antlers tend to be palmated type.
Had plenty of time to take a few close ups, until one needed to change the lens on the camera which made the deer take a close interest in me. Soon after they said good bye and left.
