Indians For Guns

Hii,

I want some tips on catching Catfish in river Cauvery .......if anybody has had experience catching catfish.....please letme know regarding the bait which should be used and also which are the likely spots where Cats are found............also what kind of hooks do you advice..........

I have a 8 feet Heavy rod and a Shimano 4000 spinning reel the line on it is Berkley Big Game 15 lb test is it suffecient for the job?
