Hello IFGians
This trip took 10 years of planning,12 days to execute 7 people overboard , about 400 pounds of fish landed (with my personal best of 35 lbs --and no photos of the fish to show !!!!)
The place was beautiful and far far away from the habitation. Would love to do it once more before its all over.
Check out the Photos(33 in all )

Best wishes for a Happy New Year.
Regards
Vikas
(Ps. Nagarifle: Tried to make it short and sweet !!!)

Good one mate, well done,
just a thought how about NE bash next year in your locality? must be few fishes to catch your way.
must be few of the members in the seven sisters who could get together for a tea party.
please think about it,
nagarifle

Thanks to all for going through the photos.Yes ngarewal, it is Arunachal. The river is Kamala. As per the outfitters and whatever the shikaris told us , the river had never been rafted before.
Nagarifle's suggstion is welcome and I am open to the idea . Only thing that I want is advance notice to arrange it if interested in going to the same place as there will be little hope after the next year .There are other places also whre fishing can be done though not every place has people who tolerate outsiders.
Regards,
Vikas

hi Veejosh
why not have a NE Forum meet in Assam area may be in the national park area, would be good, can be over 2/3 days or if some one wants they can spend a week in the area as there is much to do that side, how about next November? i be interested for one. ah my son loved the pics of the fishes and wants to catch one just like them.

Deadly photographs Veejosh! Really envy you, you lucky son of a gun (no offence meant, just jealous). BTW you did not mention which fish they were.

Splendid idea!
That'd be more than great. Veejosh- how about that? Now that we've all met some time or the other, doing so again to slap together a war on the fishes ...

I am game...there is Kaziranga right nextdoor. Jiabhoreli for angling is about 150 km though I have my pond if its OK. 3 firearms and an airrifle at disposal and a quite corner can always be setup for trying out the skills if it suits all.(As done earlier, Nagarifle??)
For Ticky :- The fish caught were all various types of masheer. Masheer is known as the PITHIA in Assam .Golden is junga pithia the other two are sial pithia and the boka pithia.Ill look up the names and will let you know ASAP.

Vikas
