Trips to Forbes Sagar, that is.

On reaching Forbes, we saw that the conditions were a lot better - clearer water, the sun was out but it wasn't too hot. The only negative was the high water level. However, since we weren't about to go home because of a high water level, we commenced our first session of the day at 0900 and it proved to be a fairly good one.

After much faffing around with an accursed swivel, Inder finally managed to boat his first murrel of the day.

Towards the end of the first session something extraordinary occured. The instant the frog landed it was hit violently and I could tell the fish had hooked itself (with frogs, you wait a second or two before striking / setting the hook) and I remarked to Inder that this was most unusual thinking it was a murrel. However, it turned out to be mahseer! I know mahseer eat frogs but hadn't heard of one being caught on a frog.

I then caught another last murrel before we reached the car for lunch at 1330.

At 1500 we set off again for the second session but this did not prove to be as entertaining.

Inder opened the second session with two murral but we couldn't get a pic of the first because it slipped out of his hand and into the water.

Thereafter, I caught another four and we ended the fishing at 1830.

Does this mean that the WASI office has given you a date for the interview or are you going some place else?

One does see this sometimes.

Not a problem. Let's see if we can make a trip during the first three weeks of December.
