The link shows the more commonly used parts of the WASI stretch. I am unable to put down names on the map but if you move your cursor over the map you will find Forbes Sagar (WASI Lake 2), WASI lake and the cottage.

You should be able to zoom in and scroll in all four cardinal directions.

What you see is a small part of the stretch under WASI.

You should have seen what we really had in days gone by before Jungle Lodges & Resorts bought the lease to the earlier stretch.

Yeah, I zoomed out and saw quite a few of those. The yuppies spoil it for the rest of us. Well, if they enjoy it, I hope they contribute to the environment and become believers. I hope the lodges and resorts are not exploiting the environment as any (stereotypical) commercial concern tends to get.

Nevertheless, it is still beautiful.

In the days before JL&R took over this stretch, the camp sites were very basic affairs and roads were non-existent. An old parachute spread out between trees very often served as a tent.

With the advent of roads this area has taken a serious beating because JL&R realised that angling needn't be their only source of income at these camp sites.

I don't fish here due to the cost and the crowds but unfortunately, this is still the place to fish for big mahseer.
