Hi members, I came across this nice little piece of report from a Gentlemen called Alijah Mohammed on his recent visit to Bandhav garh reserve. https://www.facebook.com/groups/sanctuaryasia/
Though he has made report on what they observed to the Forest Department, I thought its worth sharing it here as well

The night, changed my tiger theory...
It was almost midnight with the full moon light on it's top gear, cheetals were making alarm calls, nightjar was disturbing us beautifully. We were waiting at our very own bangla and making a rough idea about the tiger's location. The calls were two directional, one from our background and one where we were facing.. Then we realized that the calls were coming from somewhere near to the forest chowki area, we rushed to that area. As we reached we saw everything was so quiet and normal as no alarm calls were made in the jungle. We didn’t disturbed the cheetals and parked our SUV 60-70 m away from the chowki, on the main road, from where cheetals were clearly visible. We waited for cheetal’s confirmation, they didn’t made any sound for almost 2 hours. We started making our way to our Bungla, as we switched on the car light, turned it 60 degrees to the right, and there was he, stalking something, not sure, whether he was stalking the cheetal or the chowkidar. Cheetals went away from the chowki, not knowing the presence of the tiger. He reached 30-40 m away from the chowki from the backside of the mandir, stalking low. Then we shouted and told the chowkidar to get inside the chowki, chowkidar didn’t took a sec. , he rushed inside. Tiger now came in the open area in front of the chowki. He waited for the chowkidar and soon he realised that he missed it again and he walked inside the forest. Chowkidar asked us for a lift to his place, we gave. He thanked us, he went into the vibrating mode . He was shivering so high that he is not able to stand properly grin emoticon
As the villagers told us the Tiger has got some injury on his lower jaws, he is unable to kill cheetals, that’s why he killed two cattle from the village. He did not ate the first one but he completed the second, the first kill was not snatched by any other scavenger. Villagers have seen him struggling eating the first kill.
The tiger was successful in making his first two kills from the houses of villagers, he must have mistaken the chowki area as his one of the food stations where he can get cattle easily and the chowkidar was sitting low and preparing his dinner, the tiger must have misunderstood him as a cattle.
