Fist Pheasant hunt of the season - 2012

Since I got the Mossberg Tactictal .22, was itching to go shoot it somewhere. So when my nephew Maulik called and said he wanted to do the same (he got the exact same one), I found an excellent solution! Called my buddy Dave at Rack & Wing and made a reservation for a half day Pheasant Hunt. Turned out to be a great day in the end. Got 8 birds in the end out of the 10 released. After that, set up a little target area with coke cans and paper targets and fired off a whole brick of .22. (It is a great plinker btw) And than, ended the day with some fishing on Dave's lake. Caught a decent sized Perch and a smallish Bass to bring home along with the birds. Hunting, target shooting and fishing all on the same day... what more can a man ask for? :)

Cheers,
Amit

Very nice,Conty. A brace each.

How do those black rifles shoot? What's the accuracy? Thanks.

Vikram

You English hunters in your ties!! :)

Looks like a nice set up. How far from London is this place? How many birds did you get?

Cheers,
Amit

PS: what's the daily limit out there?

Dear AMit,

This particular is within thr greater london area ; luckily I didnt have to drive far. You can see a building in the background. Thas where london begins/ends.

There is no limit. Though no shoot reaches the edwardian 4 digit bags, we still commonly have 200 bird days.

This day we got 32 pheasant and one partridge so total 33 heads of game.

dada i know it looks messy since its not long enough to tie in a pony. Hopefully by the end of the year, it will look neat.

Hey conty1 nice, very nice indeed! :D

Birds AND Fish, all in one day? WoW! I am sure you all had a terrific time; great to see your dad in action again! We had quite a few entertaining conversations while at Mark's place.

shooter - Thats a serious bag!
BTW, nice duds, love the tie - very spiffy! Typical image of the gentleman of leisure in the English countryside - brilliant image, that!
