Beware of prashantsingh and his lies

I have known IFGian prashantsingh for a couple of years now and though I have never met him in person, we have been in touch via mail and phone.

I was wowed by his knowledge of wildlife, his enthusiasm for conservation and his stories of his hunts.

"What a superb fellow", I thought. A gem of a person. One a million.

I never knew how wrong I could be.

I have proof of what I am about to write and happy to show users if he disputes what I am writing.

I got an email last year after his trip to Argentina asking me the process of importing hunting trophies into the UK as he wanted to gift them to his sister who lives in London but she wasnt aware of hunting and the laws here

I found out and told him to the best of my abilities. I did it to help a fellow shooter but didn't know what was in store for me.

After doing the homework, I get a call and he tells me that he had lied to me and he had never intended to give the trophies to her in the first place but wanted me to have it as he felt I deserved them.
And that I would appreciate them and look after them. He lied because he felt that if I had known the truth, I wouldnt have done the homework or accepted the gift.

Not only did he pay for the taxidermy and shipping but he also sent me money for custom clearance!! (Another lie; he asked for my address to send me a letter or something).

I am speechless and dont know what to say.
Isnt this 'Kalyug', the age of darkness and people like him became extinct in 'satyug', millinea ago!!??

I am not sure if I can ever repay this kindness or should even try to match it. How can I show him my gratitude?

All I can say is that I was wrong about him.

He is not a superb fellow but a supercalifragilisexpialidocious fellow.
He is not a gem of a person but the kohinoor diamond.
He is not one in a million but one in a crore.

A warning to fellow IFGians. If he asks you for a favour, beware as it will be him doing you a favour and that too so huge that you will be crushed and overwhelmed.

THANK YOU PRASHANTSINGH

Finally pics of the blackbuck trophy he sent me:

Any ideas how to try and return an iota of the kindness he has shown me ??

Just shows that people like him do exist but in a very very minute minority.

My first reaction after reading the shocking heading of this post was that of shock and disbelief. Thought either something has gone wrong with him or you. After reading the entire post got a sense of relief. :)

shooter.
You never fail to embarass me. First it was dedication your Cheetal hunt down under to me and now it's this one.

Mods please move this to the hunting section. Else some people may not like the snaps of the "poor buck" .

Actually shooter I have done nothing great. I just couldn't think of running around the Sarkaari daftars to import these trophies to India so I thought of an easier way.
Kindly throw some light on how "difficult" it is to import trophies into England .
You have just reminded me of the fantastic time I had in the Pampas.
Finally putting up "cropped" snaps of the animals I bagged there. It was interesting to see Blackbuck and Cheetal sharing the same habitat with Fallow deer,Red deer , wild goat, Russian wild boar, water buffalo , multihorn Ram and the Puma.

A very nice gesture,Prashant....and you were right in the amount of hassle you would have had to face had you tried to import them into India. You are not allowed to import any body part of any wild animal that is found in India and has been declared as being protected (practically everything). This applies even if the animal has been hunted in an another country.
