Heli Hoggin'

Feral hog populations have risen to epidemic proportions in some states in the southern part of the US. There is no season on hogs and they are considered vermin. Hogs will eat anything in their way and their incredibly rapid reproduction rates have made their populations explode in recent years. This has threatened the livelihood of many farmers in the area. Crops are being decimated and certain species of native flora and fauna are in danger of extinction in places.
Please understand that this is not hunting. It is extermination of vermin, much like stepping on a cockroach. Some of the images are graphic so if you are squeamish, don't look.

What you will see is some incredible flying and absolutely insane shooting skills. I don't know what caliber he is using but its very effective, even on the big ones. By the way, this is legal to do in Texas without any permits.

Looked like some one is playing a video game.
They have something similar in Australia as well.

From hunting wildboar with spears from horseback (pigsticking) to shootin' hogs from a copter with an auto rifle.......Evolution.

Prashantsingh,
That's exactly what I thought when I first saw it; looks like a video game.

Anyone who has tried to hit a moving target, will realize that it takes tremendous skill to do that consistently. What really floored me was that he was doing it from a constantly moving platform. The gun looks real steady as the camera is on the gun but in reality the shooting platform is constantly changing its attitude and altitude. Just incredible shooting.

Actually, it's easier than you might think. If you can line up parallel, and behind your target, matching it's speed, you can do it with a syringe out of a capture gun. When the animal starts to zig-zag, it's another story.

Phew - that was some wild video! Thanks for sharing xl_target.

One of the comments on the video points out that - the shooter is using some sort of sighting system, probably holographic

L-3 EOTech is the exclusive manufacturer and world leader of holographic sighting systems for small arms
