Hello all here are a few more pictures from our hunting in Poland.


This is the result after one week of hunting.




Here you can see the damage a wild boar can do on a dog.
This dog was attacked by a boar in thick bush but was lucky not to get killed. The dog kept on going for the whole week.
And after this week the wound was almost closed, without the use of any needle and wire.



Look at the huge amount of Roedeer.

In wintertime they are very often out in the open on the fields were they try to gather some food.
We have seen groups of 50 roedeer at a time.

Many thanks for sharing these pics. What is the name of the breed? Must be a very hardy and game breed.Seems like the proverbial ''fight in the dog than the dog in the fight'' type.

That IS a lot of deer.

I know that foxes are treated as pests.What kind of management goes into their numbers? Or is it like shoot any fox that you see? I ask only to learn how they are dealt with.In UK, there are so many of them that many are shot on farms.

I have no idea what kind of breed it is in English. It should be something like Geman huntingterrier.
For us people they are very friendly but for boar and foxes they are like hell.
I have seen them attacking a fox, and I can tell you they are beasts.

About Fox regulations,Over here in Holland it is the same as in the UK, we have plenty of them and as long as government doesn't ban the shooting of them we will keep on chasing them.
With special license we can also hunt at night, with strong torches and a rifle. Usualy something like a .223 or .243 small, quick and accurate.

The same goes for Poland. But for us it is a way to go hunting somewhere else and also be able to shoot a boar.

I think in the UK there are some places where it can be called a plague. Until now it isn't that far in Holland

Bristol has/had the highest number of urban foxes in the world, I was told. I once saw a fox walking fearlessly in front of my house in the middle of the city,Coventry!
