But how does trophy hunting eradicate or remove the problem of poaching, which is the main killer of wild life in India??

Good question.
Bro i dont want to give an oblique answer. I am trying to study the subject. I may have to do some course (im sure they exist).
The basic principle is that since money is involved, forests privatised, misuse stops. just like banks, phonelines etc. As soon as privatisation occours (where it is about money and personal gain), bribery, lax attitudes disappear (or at least lessen considerably).
As i mentioned above this is the broad principle that i have been able to gather till now. I dont know much more and need much more data before i go into number crunching.

And I am ready to listen and understand more.
Try writing to FACE and other pro-hunting groups of the world.

i am a member of BASC and have done british deer society's deer course but the european countries has no big cat populations so i dont want their answer.
No matter which side of the fence they sit on, all agree that hunting doesnt reduce populations of herbivores and non infanticidal carnivores. (hunting here means sustained ethical sustainable hunting).
Now we come to big cats who are infanticidal by nature in order to ger the female in esterous and ready for mating again.
All antihunting authorities also conclude the biggest pressures come from habitat destruction, human animal conflict and commercial poaching.
What the pro and anti hunters differ in is whether trophy hunting ALSO contributes to this pressure.
