Nice write up Abhijeet.Hope next time you are able to get a vehicle to yourself.A petrol vehicle and quite companions go a long way in spotting wildlife.Otherwise you do wish for a tiger to jump in help you to get rid of your pesky 'companions'.Had a similar experience at Periyar.

It is a shame that you can no longer even visit the Jogi Mahal let alone stay there.Nice place to relax and have tea from the verandah overlooking the lake.

Wow !!! It was like a virtual walk-thru for me... never visited there before, but it was like seeing and feeling it at the same time....

I've seen wild leopards at 20 mts in Bhutan... so i can understand how nostalgic it is to experience the majestic beauty of the cats....

Great write up too...

Actually I was also there. Many of the pictures posted here are with me as well. Like the stag crossing the road and the one checking you out, besides the "Honeymooning Couple" of Owls as described by guide to firangs in our bus. Also the guide said first tht hyena was deer until someone pointed that this did not had hoofs and then he looked closely before declaring it to be hyna.

So you were also on route 2 brother!!!

Sometimes when I reflect back on all the wine I drink I feel shame. Then I think about the workers in the vineyards and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn’t drink this wine, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, “It is better that I drink this wine and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver.”
