Speaking of boar, there were quite a few of them within 10 to 20 yards of me whilst I was fishing at the cottage last weekend. Couldn't see them but one could definitely hear them feeding and grunting. No guesses for why they did not spook at my presence.

P.S.: Not too far from where the pic of the otters was taken is a channel that boar have been known to cross. Saw one along with GG when I visited the WASI area the first time but never seen them in the water.

Lazy isn't the word. Ever noticed the condition of the tyres on your bike? Next time I see that bike they better have new tyres or I'll slash the bloody things. Better do it before the monsoons begin and I am dead serious about this.

Was the first mahseer in the post a blue finned mahseer or some other variety?

At first glance, all the mahseer in your report look like Tor Khudree aka Blue fin mahseer. It is sometimes difficult to tell in small fish though.

I used Fosters of Birmingham and Cabelas when I first started but now it is mostly the latter.
