Have any of you had any experience with 2 - 4 hp outboard motors...
2 stroke or 4 stroke motor? I gather the 2 stroke have better torque, the 4 stroke are quieter, environment friendly & more expensive ..
Mariner, Yamaha outboard have dealers & service centers in several cities in South India. They both have good service backup & stock of spares.
So far the choices are:
Mariner 2.5 hp, 85cc, 4 stroke.
Mariner 3.3 hp, 75cc, 2 stroke 35,000/-
Yamaha 2 hp, 50cc, 2 stroke 21,000/-
yamaha 2.5 hp, 72cc, 4 stroke
Mariner/Mercury 2.5 hp, 4 stroke...LINK
Mariner/Mercury 3.3 hp, 2 stroke...LINK

Any suggestion for a outboard motor for a 12' rowing boat?
