where can one buy a decent economical fishing gear in india. this is only for an occasional lazy sunday afternoon type fishing and not the hardcore type fishing. can i please get some shop addresses.thanks

Andy,

There are no shops that actually sell fishing gear in India.

On Indian Angler they have some stuff for sale,try there too.

For that send a Pm to Gasramgandu.

Best would be to order online,from Cabelas etc.Works out most economical.

Even better if someone is coming into India,who will carry the stuff for you.

http://www.stikage.com is a Co based out of Delhi they sell camping & fishing eqpt,a very neat package for Rs 2500/-

Telescopic rod with reel & line,hooks,floats etc.This stuff is from China,great value for money.

A friend who is part of the PHG uses it with great results.
