I'm adding pics from fishing trip with Riaz,Prakash and Binu

This was five days after being there with Mack The Knife and Inder.

This place was right opposite to the pump house where we were fishing. The tilapia was caught on earthworm.

Pran,

Very nice!

Just a quick OT question - do they still sell fishing licenses in post offices in India or do you have to buy them somehwere else? I remember the quaint little post office in Kodaikanal a short distance fro the boat club and the Carlton where you could buy a one month license for Rs 2 to fish on the Kodai Lake in the 1970s and early 80s. 8)

Wonder what one costs these days.

Cheers!

I figured it was the opposite bank from the second pic but never thought it would make that much difference in fish activity.

In Bangalore, most lakes are under contract or are maintained by societies managed by fishermen.Passes range from 20-50 bucks per rod.But the local fishermen don't like anyone fishing in these places.

Interesting! The fishing permits are privatised - I wonder what repercussions this would have on the forests department as both come under the same ministry...
