Can anyone identify this??

Got some old "Shikaar" tales to share? Found a great new spot to Fish? Any interesting camping experiences? Discussion of Back-packing, Bicycling, Boating, National Parks, Wildlife, Outdoor Cooking & Recipes etc.

My vote would go to Catla (with its ability to grow to 100kg) - if it grew to palm-size (8-10" with tail) and .75-1.25kg I would have voted for tilapiya (sp ?). Now that reminds me - tomorrow is SUNDAY! :-P And strangely also both of these are creek->pond fish - however, currently in MMR they are both cultivated in "trapped" creek water in the farmland/ marshland marked for the NEW MUMBAI AIRPORT. ;-) Tilapiya is cultivated as fodder for the Catla and hence gets 'harvested' first.

whether Are all these fish will be consumed or just a show piece, :o

Now I am tempted to fishing , and I have a perfect place for that in mumbai.
Just say "Yes "definetly about fish consumption .
Then I'll come up with my catch pictures and for sure invite IFG friends to enjoy the fish. :D

Regards.

PS,
BTW , Pls dont fight with me about fishing place in Mumbai , Kindly respect my desire to fish in mumbai. I think it will be better for me.
If you think there is no place or there are other places kindly don't suggest . Please keep it for yourself .

Once Again Regards.
