Very cool! I have been reading through this account and am about halfway through. We can only mourn for the state of African wildlife today, as compared to the time when this was written.

McCutcheon was a very famous cartoonist for the Chicago Tribune newspaper of Chicago, Illinois.

Every year when I was a child, in the Fall, the Tribune Sunday Edition would run McCutcheon's famous cartoon and fanciful explanation of Native American spirits returning to dance.

Silly as it may sound, this little story had an impact on me as a kid and I would look for it eagerly every year.

i just got back today.
got 6 animals.
Impala.
Kudu.
Blue Wildebeest.
nyala.
blesbuck.
zebra.

it was a lovely trip.
planning a second one in december.
i shall post the pictures in a day or two.

That's a fantastic bag.
I always wanted to shoot a Nyala , Kudu and a Sable,
Will probably keep them for another trip.
Will surely come and check out your Nyala and Kudu when they are in India.
