Hi Shahid, my formal title, starting with slayer of the great elephants, stomper of the moths and catcher of socks and gunny sacks-if you will, stretches into many pages.
Keep it short with Asif? ;)

hi

Check this beautiful book titled "Mammalia of India" by Rober A Sterndale. It was originally published in1884 and reprinted again in India in 1982 . It has over 150 illustrations ... all hand drawn...no photographs...its supposed to be one the most detailed & informative study of animals of India & Ceylon.

See how IFG is to the benefit of shooters.

Asif posted a link based on his knowledge, which will benefit all shooting buffs.

This book Highlands of Central India by by Capt J Forysth was recommended in bibliography by A P Gee, Col Kesri Singh and by Suresh Vaidya, author of Ahead Lies the Jungle, Jaico Publishing 1960s.

Where did I lay my hands on it ? Holland & Holland showroom, the club room in Bruton Street, London. I bought it for GBP 24 or Rs. 2,160, because I wanted the book badly.

Price in India Rs. 300. I can now save Rs. 1700 odd each on other books.

Long live IFG !!!
