Archer,
Could you give more details about the compound bow.How much did you pay for it and where did you buy it from?

Hey,
my compound bow ...... its abt 5 years old ...... i bought it from the US ..... was sent by mail by my uncle (must admit didnt know anything abt arms laws .... was a demanding 17 year old then ...)..... i was scrwd by the customs .... fortunately they cleared it after abt a month (very lucky to have got it)...... paid abt 150 or 200 USD for it ....the arrows i paid abt 40 USD for a set a 12 ....they also came by US mail .....

she's a 35lb with 65% letoff with a draw length of abt 24inches .....i use it mainly for target shootin when i am in the jungles around lonavala ...... i also use it while i run my archery club at bombay scottish school in mumbai .....

have been doin it for the past two years .... i run an archery club for a frnd ...... where i teach a group of 15 boys n girls the basics of archery ...... abt 16 sessions spread over the year ..... so i get a chance to shoot my bow ....its gr8 fun ...... have acquired a new set of sights for her ....havent yet tried them though ......

have been planning on buyin a few more ( one or two ) recurvre bows ( 26 - 30lb ) so that i can start my own archery club somewhere ...... i have run little archery sessions at college festival....... want to do more of them......... lemme know if anyone wishes to sell any recurves .....

That's interesting. I studied in that crummy place from '78 to '82. No archery in those days though.

Is Prabhu the principal now? He used to be my Scout master.

Hey Rusty
Still grunting about Scottish hey!!!!

was a good school then, dont know about it now. I think the old dorm loos have been converted to classrooms as they were really huge.
Yes there was no archery in those days.
Probably introduced to keep up with the new fangled "International Schools".
Lets catch up some time, Beer is on me
we can b**ch some more :D :D :D

Hi Lenny,

Coming from what was almost an Army school, BSS was a bloody culture shock for me with all those sprogs from the film and cricketing world and the who's who of Bombay.

Made a few good friends but the rest was pretty forgetable.

Makes me laugh when I see Outlook rating it as one of the best, if not the best school in India.

Yes, we need to do a Bangalore get together sometime.

Sorry to hijack your thead, Archer.
