A small get together in Delhi on 20th February 2013

Dear friends,
We had small get together in Delhi on the 20th february evening, thanks to the initiatives of our omnipresent friend dev .
The rendez-vous was fixed at 1900hrs and with the Dilli timings, 'abhi do minat me pahuchne wala hoon ji' alibis, I landed in the Panchsheel Club at about 1930 hrs . When the communication goes through the heart, there is no need to search for. So, I walked up straight towards the unknown gentlemen waiting near the gate to introduce myself. It was as if, I knew them for years and they could not be anyone else. The word of welcome from dev came before I could even reach them. It was so natural, a sort of a regular affair .
I bowed before the Renowned Shot, Sri Olly ji. It was a big mistake. He is double Renowned Shot; so I bowed the second time before him (this time even lower than the previous). Hence the major protocol goof up was avoided . The tall, dark and suave bodhijobs would have certainly fit in the role of the Bodhisattwa without his suit boot ishtyle. I do not have any words for the perfect gentleman with the right words at right times topped with the right dose of humour and wit, dev.
Once we went in, the idea was not to go to the restaurant and stay on starters and tit bits only. I thought that these people were either health conscious (skip a dinner) or extremely dedicated to the family (would have dinner at home with family even if it was late). After few rounds of KF (brewed by United Brewaries) and a few dead birds (direct from the tandoor in different shapes and sizes), my ideas changed totally ;
To top up the event, we had our surprise of the evening. Sri Abhijeet Singh (mundaire), dropped in himself, to grace the occasion directly on his return from Goa.
Thanks for the evening friends. I was honoured. Here is a photo to immortalize the evening. Bodhi left us a bit earlier and is not in the photo. You can also say that I took out the camera too late for the picture and missed him out .
best regards
