That's the reason NAGRI has gone the lobbying route :)

They own Webley's and S&W revolvers simply because they do not know any better.

This was tagged earlier here also -- penpusher Badal did one better has LLama 32 pistol..
But look at their reasoning :
1. Kashitrya
2. Family tradition
3. need it for safety
4. I live in Bihar

What about common folks dont they have the same reasons? :deadhorse:

• Vijay Goel: Minister of State .- ‘‘I led an agitation against lottery and unauthorised builders. Once I became an MP, I bought a gun because there was such a provision.’’

• Rajnath Singh: BJP MP, - ‘‘It’s a family tradition. My father, grand father had guns. That’s why I have one.’

• Rajiv Pratap Rudy: MoS, - ‘‘I am from Bihar where it’s good to keep a firearm.’’

• Vinod Khanna: MoS , -‘‘It’s for personal safety. I don’t take it around. I am an actor and have to go to remote places.’’

• Vasundhara Raje: MoS, - ‘‘Our families have always had weapons. We travel to inhospitable areas. It’s always good to keep a small weapon for personal safety.’’

• Madan Lal Khurana: BJP , - ‘‘ My name figured in the hit-list of Punjab militants.’’

• Sanjay Paswan: MoS, - ‘‘It gives me a sense of confidence. I am a Dalit and I feel Dalits are more vulnerable.

The best reason to own a gun - "I want one, it's none of your business why, I have no previous record of violent crime - so just bug*3r off Mr. Policeman!"

Cheers!

+2 to you Abhijeet!

I note:
Margaret Alva: Congress MP. Magnum .357 revolver
So the woman on the list gets a .357? Interesting, as I would interpret this as her definitely being informed and ready to do "business"!

To bad we cannot find a youtube video of her practice sessions.
