which intrusion alarm system to buy?

I recollect reading several post on the ifg.yahoo groups on Home Intrusion Alarm systems. Cannot seem to find those post.

Have any of you had any experience with these Home alarm systems. Plan to install one of these.

Google search came up with several options.

One of them was the bangalore based Fire pro systems - Link, Godrej, Amitex, Honeywell & GE are some of the manufacturers.

If wiring is not a problem then a simple home made system will work just as well... only u need a connection to an inverter so that when the power is out, the alarm will still work. I am talking about the door / window opening detection type of system...

The best however is the movement sensor based stuff which can be put in the doorway / driveway / central lounge etc. etc. It can both light up and blare away.....
