Hi amjadkarim16
Your stock is just marvellous.

Very well crafted. Which wood have you used. Have you done this yourself. Please put in some advise on stock making.

ello all.thanks for appreciation.it is 35 year old seasoned walnut wood.Mr Atanu I am an amateur dont know much about guns or stock making but saw a master craftsman working on it.i saw his cracked finger tips bleeding and he used to put tincture iodine swabs on fingers in morning and start.it seems a simple process but i know that it took him three days to drill holes in heel plate and stock because he had never done a rifle stock so tools were altered .heel plate is from masayi maara bull trophy horn.h

he polished it with coal burnt from deodar wood mixed with sarsoon oil and polished with his bare heel.he had to leave for saudi and abroad so he is not satisfied.checkering design is his but he was not happy with grains.it is more than five months and i used to sit with him while he worked.more than stock i got to know what actual gun making is.he is seventy years old but he works not for his business but his passion.vikram ji mauser story tomorrow as i am writing on cell.
One important thing ifg gave me knowledge and some very good friends.thanks everyone.

hello,
It was a long wait of seven months which was worth waiting for.
I dont mean that this stock took 7 months to complete but my gun was at work shop for 7 months.Anyways.
Its maker is not satisfied with it.
For me it is more than enough because otherwise I had to live with RFI stock.

Amjad
