"With solid bullets on heavy animals such as elephant, rhino and buffalo this power is quite apparent but is not so obvious as when soft-nose bullets are being used, say, lion, particularly when is a case of stopping a charge : the .404 will stop him all right, but will seldom crumple him quite so completely as will the .416" -- John Taylor, Big Game and Big Game Rifles, (Ch. IX)

Yeah, nice clean lines and I particulary liked the change in texture, from grainy to shiny small squares I think green marble or polished cuddapah?

Hi Z,send the pictures of this beauty to the Chairman of jackasses at IOF,man you with less equipment { i wont say expertise cause looking at the gun speaks volume of your expertise} then these bloody buggers have made a beauty, maybe and thats a BIG MAYBE these jokers out of shame can do a better job with the orignal one.

Hi Zubin,
> Congrats - remarkable work!
> I especially like the work done on the 'comb' &' grip'.
> By the way was the 'checkering' done by hand? Because the lines are so perfect!
> Reminded me of my own 30-06 Winchester Model17 whose stock was made by the good old Raghunath Redker who worked from a garage behind United Motors on Hughes Road, Mumbai, way back in the 60's!!!
Cheers
