Post by SURFACE TO AIR MISSILE » Sat Feb 27, 2010 4:08 pm

Hey Guy's,

Just a few days back I bought a brand new IOF 30-06 Rifle,I must say it's quite impressive for that price ! I have no complains about this made in india rifle,it shoots pretty well, cartridge feeding & extraction is smooth,my verdict, it's a good rifle ! The other day we tested the rifle, the video along with some pictures of which have been uploaded on youtube.
Kindly click on the following web link & enjoy !

Hi SAM,

Congratulations for your baby. Its very encouraging to see the female members of the family also getting involved.

Just one thing, thier isnt any voice in the video, would have loved to listen to the first voice of your Baby 30-06.

Once congrats and enjoy safe shooting.

Very nice rifle. Thanks for sharing.

What kind of groups are you getting with the rifle?

Congrats Guys on your proud possession. I saw a guy shoot his way to silver in open rifle category with the same rifle in the Big Bore Nationals this year. I don't think you should ever worry about it's accuracy. How ever shooting at a living tree may not go well with the environmentalists. It bothered me a bit as well. Secondly, I suggest that keeping the bolt open would be a preferred method for general safety then banking on the safety catch with a loaded chamber.
Happy shooting !!!

SAM,

Thanks for posting this.I am sure you cleaned the rifle of any oil in the chamber before firing it.

Engaging the safety every time you load the rifle is a very bad habit.

The enthusiasm of the lady is heartening. She seems to be handling the recoil better than others. She needs to work on her posture though(as do others).

Learn to load from the shoulder.

Happy shooting.

SAM,

Hearty congratulations on your proud acquisition.Looks great and it was a pleasure watching such an enthusiastic group having fun.The young lady was not at all taken by recoil.

I was wondering if I should post this,Marksman did that for me. . But, please do not mind me for saying this. Please do not shoot at a living tree- the tree may die and if the mark is missed, the bullet may travel far and can harm other living beings which may not be able to see. Always a good idea to shoot targets on grounds with reasonable back stop.

Have fun and keep posting your experience with the rifle.
