i got my license

dear frends,
Today i got my fresh license for .22 rifle, i wud like to thank the licensing department and all the cops involed in the processes
i also thank
Mr Sudha iob, ebenezer, suresh, tirths , striker for their encouragement, guidance and support.

im a bit confused by reading your massage in this section? did you get a license for .22lr rifle or .22 airrifle.

THE LICENSE says it valid for .22 bore rifle.

Babu, they are pulling your leg...lol. How long did the process take and which category is your license in? Sports shooting.
Give details..i would like to mine one day.

dear amer,
it took approx 6 months to get my license, and during these six months i was not in the station for more than 2 months.
the license is valid for .22 rifle with hundred rounds per year.
purpose stated in the license-self protection( i don know y they have mentioned this as i hve given more stresss on target practice in my application)

Nothing wrong with thanking licensing department and all the cops involved. But we should also not loose sight of the fact that getting a firearm license is our legal right, if one is issued a license, the "government servants" involved have just done their job(what they are supposed to do), it is not that they have done some favor.
the license is valid for .22 rifle with hundred rounds per year.
In the application of firearm license it is always better to mention NBP rifle/shotgun rather than mentioning a particular bore. By having NBP rifle/shotgun endorsed on your license, you stand to loose nothing, you can purchase any NPB rifle/shotgun. Having a particular bore like .22 rifle endorsed on your license, you are limiting yourself to that particular bore only.

i agree with you
at the time of filling my application, a guy misguided me saying that its easy to get a license for .22 boresince its often used for sporting purpose
