Original Oberndorf Mauser Type A in .30-06

Some time in December I had been to a gun shop to look up an IOF .315 and came across something that I have always wanted but never imagined I would ever own.
Having had a look at the .315, the dealer casually mentioned to my friend that he had a Mauser for sale. I am not well versed on the subject of original Oberndorf sporter Mausers but something told me this was a Type A and not a military surplus rifle converted to a sporter. I took a few pics and sent them to Mehul and Grumpy for verification. They in turn urged me to post the pictures on a certain forum because one particular member, Don S, is the world's living authority on the subject.
Don was all praise for the rifle and verified it to be a Type A original Oberndorf Mauser and that sealed the deal for me.
As per Speed's book, this rifle was made in 1935. There were only 127,000 original Oberndorf sporter Mausers made (includes all models and calibres) and by my reconning there were probably fewer than 500 .30-06 Type A rifles in this configuration (large ring, thumb cut, express sights, etc.). However, this is something that I need to verify with Don.
Herewith a few pictures of the rifle.
The 7,62 7,82 250 indicate the bore, groove and twist length in mm.
My thanks to Mehul, Grumpy, Don and all the other members at NE for their help.
