Two Brownings

Two Browning’s, one a semi and the other a bolt.
The semi is based on John Browning’s BAR and is 300 Win Mag, it is brand new, have had it for several years, never got around to shooting it. It’s available with an alloy or steel, this one is a steel receiver. Has sights, some models do not, also drilled for scope. Removable mag.
The bolt is in 30.06, made at FN, a pure Paul Mauser 98 design. Low mounted safety, drilled for scope, bought it from an old gentleman that could not hunt anymore. He told me had hunted caribou, black bear and deer with it. I could see that he was torn at the prospect of selling it. Said he had arthritis and could not hunt anymore. Haven’t hunted with it.

These are nice guns especially the FN bolt action. There is another member here who also found a second hand really nice FN bolt action .270. I think he did post his pictures on the forum here. He also got a sweet deal on this rifle.

Best

kragiesardar,

I agree that you have a nice pair of fine guns there, and that FN browning is about the best combination of a well designed action and a well designed cartridge.

Thanks for posting up the pics!

Nice guns KSardar, bolt actions don't get much better than that FN based browning. Many makers made guns based on the FN actions including Browning, Sako, Husqvarna and many custom gun makers.

Since many of you appreciate FN action, I am posting pictures of my 8x60S on an FN 98 made by Defourny who was a Liege (Belgium) based gun maker.

Dayum, those are great looking rifles. I saw a Browning BAR at a store once, some commemorative model, boy did I want to buy that one. I'm happy for you bro. My bolt gun is a lowly Tikka T3 in 30-06 :).
