My favorite .22, a Brno that I love to hunt Jack Rabbits. Once we were on a ranch and were kicking through some brush hoping that we would flush something and from the corner of my eye I saw a bushy tail twitching, looked like a coyote, the rancher had asked us to shoot any we saw, as I brought the .22 up I stepped forward and it was a mountain lion that was crouched on the same side of the drain as us. He was probably hanging around in it, he gave me this glare like “damn city slickers, cant even get some sleep with you weekend warriors around” he than jumped across the stream and ran away parallel to us, muscle’s all twitching. All I could think was “, damn, good I did not shoot him with a .22, all it would have done would have been to rile him up at us”
Has a Nichols 6 x 36 scope. Have put thousands of rounds through it. I love to go to the range, put an NRA target 100 yards downrange and shoot 300 – 500 rounds, till the black circle is one gaping hole. Gives a real complex to the dudes shooting their synthetic stocked, free floating, bull barrel varminters.
