I have 1 winchester mod. 03 rifle ,
Can anyone tell me more about this rifle and what type of ammo. To be used in it? How is this rifle? Which are good semi-automatic rifles or bolt action rifles?

Assuming

1. Its legal... automatics even the three round burst types are highly illegal almost everywhere in the world for civillians.
2. The old Win 03 22 caliber ammo is not really available any longer. You probably will not be able to find any.
3. If you rifle is firing in a 3 round burst mode... it is in all probability broken.

The Winchester 22 cartridge was/is very different to the .22 LR, .22 Mag et al. And is almost exclusively a collectable.

Sell your rifle to a collector and get something else.

Get your self almost anything else. What do you want to shoot.

Unfortunately the Winchester 03 used a special cartridge which is no longer available. a small run of this cartridge was available in the US a few years back, but I haven't seen any for a long time. There are many good choices for a .22 shooter but I personally lean toward the ruger 10/22 in autos, and the CZ 452 in bolt guns.

The 03 was the first sucessful small caliber semi auto, and the .22lr cartridges of the day were not considered suitable for its mechanism. Winchester devolped a special cartridge, the .22 Winchester auto, for use in it. Remington did the same with a less sucessful model. Unfortunately, when a rimfire cartridge becomes obsolete, a shooter has little alternative but to retire the rifle when his cartridge supply is exhausted.
