Hi folks,

I have a Belgium Mauser made by Defourny with the following writing/marking (pictures added to my album as I am unable to attach pictures in the thread).

DEFOURNY LIEGE Made in Belgium (on barrel)
8x60 S B.Blindee (on barrel)
"R" with a crown on top (on barrel and reciever)
Crowned Oval with with "ELG*" inside , (on barrel & receiver)
PV with a lion on dragon on top (also on receiver and bolt handle)
"D" with a star on top (on both barrel and reciever)
A sort of tower on the receiver.

It has nice 2 stage trigger.

I am trying to get some information on the maker, tried a few other forums but could not get much on the maker, lot of information on the caliber though.

There were several Belgian gunmakers named Defourny in and around the Liege area. Can`t say which one without an initial or an address. See :

The stamps are Belgian proof marks.

thanks for the good link Grumpy, On the gun it just says Defourny Liege without any initials or address so it could be any one of them and since folks at other forums told me that it looks like a 1950's gun with a commercial FN action I can narrow it down to any maker in the Liege area around that timeframe.
