The Corbett 22 from Geam Guns is proudly the first semi-automatic .22 LR rifle that is entirely made in India.

The Corbett 22 also boasts of an accurized match grade “chrome-moly” steel barrel that is made in-house, which is in itself a testament to Geam Guns’ advance engineering capabilities. In addition, it features a competition trigger that breaks at under 3 lbs, fully adjustable sporter sights, a 10 round rotary magazine and a Picatinny rail that allows you to easily mount any scope or red dot sight.

Has the looks of the Ruger 1022.
Grouping that tight from 25 metres 5 shots, seems ???.
Let more details emerge, user reviews, price etc..

I went over to the Geam Guns website:

https://geamguns.com/

It appears as if this Corbett 22 rifle is their first offering, but that they also intend to offer handguns and shotguns in the future. It will be interesting to see these models when they come to market.

Regarding the Corbett 22 rifle, I agree that it has the looks of the Ruger 10/22, but I would go further and say that it appears to be a full copy of the 10/22. The rotary magazine, along with the extended magazine release offered by the aftermarket (I'm not at all sure that this extended release would be of interest to me, as it looks as if it would be inadvertantly operated), the aluminum receiver, and the details of the pictures lead me to observe this.

There are so many accessories available for the Ruger 10/22 that whole rifles are built that have not one single Ruger part. This reminds me of the copies of the British Lister Cold Start diesel engines! So that another such copy of the 10/22 would be available in India is not surprising, and if this turns out to be a quality rifle, another welcome copy to the party. After all, Bill Ruger designed his guns to not only offer a solid, practical rifle that shooters wanted, but also to manufacture it easily and inexpensively from materials that would do the job. This kept the price of a servicable and desireable gun within the budget of the average person. Hopefully, these qualities will be available in the Corbett 22.

Looking at the pictures, I very much like the look of the wood stock, but also notice that the wood to metal fit would not be up to my expectations. For this reason, and because of humidity and temperature reasons, I'd prefer the composite black stock that is shown.

Regarding the pictures of grouping, if these are supposed to be the results of a 25 yard/meter group, I'm afraid that I'd have to see it to believe it.

All in all, this looks like an interesting rifle that will command attention when released.
