h people,
wth cmtpl glock and all entering india is there a chance any rifle manufacturers such as walther or anschutz making it here

They can come , but process is so tedious india and corruption on that so many companies avoid india .

Hi Sourab,
It's because the Indian political establishment really doesn't want their voters to buy arms, even though airguns/airpistols are not effective tools for self defense, because when archaic,outdated british laws are still followed/enforced/heavily misused(like slapping sedition charges) on individuals even when it's clear that that particular law cannot apply in many cases, they will be forced to follow true democratic rules/norms in all walks of life, from the grass roots level to the highest echelons of government.

Mostly licenses to civilians are given for self defence and people prefer to buy handguns for self defence than rifles. Companies also know this and that is why they give preference to handguns.
Currently no private company is launching rifle for civilians.

yes, but arent the majorityy of the licenses ae for sports purposes (especially .22 rifles) and also for defense other than wealthy people and ex service men all defense licenses are held by securities who mostly hold or prefer double barrel shortguns
