Need info about .22 Rifle

My father is a retired cop and has a .22 rifle Remington (imported in 1989 from USA) with a valid license. Since it is not practically any use to us, we are trying to sell it off. Was offered about 23K for it from a gun shop. Is that a good price? Any information would be appreciated.

Some more information like what action it is (bolt action, pump action, lever action) and how many rounds does it hold (single shot, magazine fed, tubular magazine etc) will help in determining the market price.

Looks like single shot, as you are saying 23k was offered.
