Holiday time here and was able to spend some time cleaning some of my less used guns.

This is a Heym O/U combination gun. The upper barrel is 16ga 2 3/4" and the lower barrel is 7x65R. 7x65R is popular in Europe but have not really caught on here in North America. Ammo is readily available, not as common as the 7x57. Has some cool features like horn trigger guard and cocking indicators.

Never came across combination gun during all my years in India and assume they are not popular there.

Only wished I had a combo once when after getting bored in the blind while deer hunting for a long time I grabbed a shot gun and stepped out for Grouse and as luck would have it, saw a nice deer, lucky day for the deer.

Not very fond of the cocking indicators on the wood, have them as part of the action on some of my other guns. Makes disassembling the stock easier.

Thanks , glad you folks liked the gun.

Vikram - Like you said Heym makes some nice guns. Most of their guns have a distinct Germanic style but in recent years they have been moving towards the typical pre-war classic British design.

Interesting video about their new 89 double rifle.
