Winchester Mod 70 .308 (Pics)

Sharing some pics of a Winchester Model 70 shot show special in .308. It is based on a short action with a 22 inch barrel. Makes for a short handy rifle in a useful caliber.

Herb,

That is indeed a very handsome looking rifle for a factory made example. Congratulations. The wood is particularly good and so is the dark blueing.

I am glad they have reverted to pre-64 bolt. One of the most foolproof design and they owe it to Mauser '98.

Indeed Vikram these are one of the best value out there for a non custom off the shelf rifle.

Very true! The Model M70 and FN98 used in the older Browning Safari are my favorite variations of the the M98
